BIO


Ilya Martynov (b.1990) was born in Samara.
Graduate of the Rodchenko School (workshop of Sergey Bratkov)
and exchange programme ENSAPC National Art School in Paris.
 

Works with different media: painting, graphics, sculpture, objects, video and sound art. The main themes of his work are speculation in media, displacement and disruption of reality, anthropology of the animal and human. Active participant of self-organizations. Nominee for the Sergey Kuryokhin Prize 2020,Zverev Art Prize 2021 and Fluxus art prize 2024.

He lives and works in Offenbach am Main.
